Community-Driven Initiatives
PROGRAM 1
Immigration & Settlement Support
Our Immigration & Settlement Program provides guidance for Kenyan women transitioning into life in Canada. From understanding settlement pathways to accessing community resources, KWICA offers support with housing, employment referrals, navigating essential services, and building strong social networks. This program empowers newcomers to settle confidently and begin their Canadian journey on a strong foundation.
PROGRAM 2
Social & Economic Empowerment
This program focuses on equipping women with the skills, tools, and opportunities needed to thrive economically and socially. Through workshops, networking events, financial literacy training, entrepreneurship support, and community engagement initiatives, KWICA ensures that members have a supportive environment to grow, earn, and lead. The goal is to uplift women and families through sustainable empowerment.
PROGRAM 3
Violence Against Women Support
KWICA’s Violence Against Women Program offers confidential support, resources, and referrals for women facing domestic or gender-based violence. We create safe spaces for survivors, provide community awareness on prevention, and collaborate with shelters, counselors, and legal aid services. The program ensures that women receive the protection, dignity, and assistance they need to rebuild their lives safely.
PROGRAM 4
Health & Wellness Program
KWICA’s Health & Wellness Program focuses on mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Through health education sessions, wellness workshops, mental health awareness campaigns, and access to community resources, we support women in living healthier, more balanced lives. This program encourages open conversations, community care, and proactive wellness practices.
KWICA is a not-for-profit organization empowering Kenyan women across Canada through advocacy, mentorship, settlement support, and community development programs.
